That is the whole job.
Three invoices in, one flagged before it could reach a return, and a statement ready to file. Your own quarter works the same way.

EMPOWERING
SMALL BUSINESSES
Tax compliance shouldn't require expensive software or high accounting fees. TaxMaldives helps you prepare accurate GST returns, organize invoices, and file with confidence saving you time and money while you focus on growing your business.
Built to save your time
Files itself into the right quarter
The taxable period is derived from the invoice date in the database itself, not stored beside it. It cannot be edited out of step with the document, and it cannot drift.
Catches its own mistakes
The rate is computed from the money, never taken from the reader. An invoice that does not land on a rate that was legal on its own date is flagged rather than quietly filed.
MIRA's format, not an approximation
The export is the Input Tax Statement workbook itself, with every line already sitting in the column MIRA expects to find it in.
Room for whoever else touches the numbers
Invite your bookkeeper or your accountant and they see the same quarter you do, with roles deciding who can add documents, who can change them and who can only look. No exported copies going round on email, and no version that is the real one.
Step 1: Photograph/scan and upload
A photo from your phone or a PDF out of your inbox. Both work, and neither needs typing up.
Step 2: AI model runs visual data extraction
Supplier, TIN, invoice number, date and amounts come off the page and are checked against the rates that were legal on that date.
Step 3: Download the statement
At quarter end one click gives you an .xlsx in MIRA's own Input Tax Statement format, ready to file.
Additional Features
Duplicate detection
The same invoice photographed twice, or entered once by you and once by your bookkeeper, is caught on the supplier and reference rather than filed twice.
Warnings you can act on
Anything that fails a check says which check and why, on the document itself, so it can be fixed before the quarter closes rather than after MIRA asks.
Work in batches
Select a run of invoices and act on all of them at once. A quarter's worth of tidying is a few clicks, not a few hundred.
Foreign currency
Invoices in dollars are converted at the rate you record against them, held to six decimal places so the MVR figure that reaches the return is the one you intended.
Sales and output tax
Both halves of the return in one place: what you paid, what you charged, and the worksheet that reconciles them.
Team collaboration
Invite your bookkeeper and accountant to work in the same business, with roles that keep each person focused on the work they need to do.
Choose the right plan for you
There is no card on file. You pay for a period when you are ready to continue, and keep every record you have already filed either way.

Yes. Documents are read by an automated extraction model, and while every line is checked against the rates that were legal on its date, you remain responsible for what you submit to MIRA. The checks exist to make that review short, not to remove it.
It is held back and flagged rather than filed. The GST is divided by the value before GST and matched against the rates that were legal on that invoice's date; anything more than a fraction of a percentage point away from all of them is treated as a misread or a supplier error and put in front of you.
Yes. Invite them and they see the same quarter you do. Roles decide who can add documents, who can change them, and who can only look.
MIRA's Input Tax Statement workbook, filled in — not a CSV you would then have to copy across. Each purchase sits in the rate column MIRA expects it in.
Yes. Output tax and sales live alongside the input side, with a worksheet that reconciles the two, so the whole return comes out of one place.
Everything you have already filed stays available to view and export. Only the ability to add new documents stops. There is no card on file and nothing renews on its own, so lapsing is a choice you make rather than one that happens to you.
